Anyway, still enjoy the way the things are going. I mean, the storyline of the game itself. But I have the feeling like it is going to be a loooong time until this game will be finished and that each new version will contain less content compared to the times, when 0.xx - 1.25 was in development.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that it is hard to pursue the development of AVN all by yourself (to be precise, being the two-man team, half of which is represented by a programming chief, according to your patreon info), in the state of current events (heh, GUESS WHERE I AM FROM :D), but it will be better to end each version at the end of a playing day to avoid such inconveniences.
Saves from 1.55 (which I backed up as I always do) doesn't work properly if been copied in 1.65. For example, my last save in 1.55 end with the meeting near Rachel's house with Connie. 1.65 opens the following situation with the scene of this three together and then after it ends, I get announcement that this is all of the available content in this version (end credits, roxy's photo...).
So, I decided to use the save that was in the game folder already. It works. But it is broken in a way too: all the quests seems to work fine, but if you choose to randomly approach every girl (I mean, do the quest continuation of every storyline), you can end up in the situation, where when it's time to visit Kate, the game somehow jumps to the point, where Ray talks with Kate and skips the moments, when you visit Kate twice, got some dialogue with her each time, then you have to watch 2 scenes of what happened while you've been absent (in the memory room). It is a minor thing, but still I would like to have read all the dialogue elements of each story line well sorted in chronological order. I guess, this happens because all events are settled in the same playing day. Not to mention that I have to replay manually some points which I already did in the 1.55 (because of the same play day), which confuse just a little...
Man, oh man! This game is VERY good! I started to play a few days after I finished OITL and now I can definitely say that this project is an example of improvement almost in every aspect! OITL was good (Lauren and Jasmine still <3), but the way you created characters here, the way you gave attention to little details of their behavior (I definitely can see it) - this is just marvelous! Every girl in this story feels so alive! And with this little details like animation of their eyes in certain situations... The story is intriguing and gives me the Matrix vibes all the time (wake up, Neo... follow the Nova rabbit), thou I have an idea now what will be the upcoming twist... Sad part is that I've got to wait a long time until I will be able to continue the story(( But nonetheless, looking forward to it! Thank you, Car! Really A GOOD job!
Just finished it. Overall, I did enjoy this game. But I have to mention that some story moments give me a light cringe vibes... Ending is not what I expected it to be, though it still good. Back at the start I expected it to be more perverted than it turns out to be. I did not like the thing with (SPPPPPOOOOOIIIIILLLLLEEEERRRRR) losing path, esp with Judie, after the Japan, where it turns out to be that you need you affection score with her to be a certain lvl, otherwise even after saying that you love her and kissing you end up losing the path with her... Man, that was just stupid and irritated of sort... Where is the logic in this twist?) But anyway Lauren is a the best waifu of this game, thath for sure! Thank you, Carbidis, it was nice experience. 8/10 and I definitely will try ur other project in the nearest future!
It is definitely the decoding. I am 100% shure of that. Currently using and old PC, which runs fine on linux, but youtube videos with vp's sometimes gives me some stuttering. So I started to use firefox extension to force h264-decoding. Much better than it was before. So it is definitely the codec. Would be nice for you to make compressed version for ppl like me (and many other here as well).
